Project 1A
Poetic Assemblage:
< Choreography + Envelope > - Group + Individual ( 20% )
In Project 1A, we are required to collaboratively explore cultural dance-inspired movements to create Choreographic Ethnographic Drawings, documenting body gestures and movement paths. Using this research, we individually design a choreography-informed envelope—a bodily-conscious, expressive flagship construct—through form-making and space exploration, presented via drawings, models, and GIFs.

Reflection
TGC 1.1 Able to put theories into practice
In my design process, I strive to bridge the gap between theory and practice. By consciously considering spatial typologies, section-plan relationships, and contextual conditions, I transform abstract concepts into practical solutions. Emphasizing human scale, natural light, materiality, and textures allows me to create spaces that are both functional and meaningful. Applying these theoretical principles ensures my designs are grounded in real-world applicability while maintaining creative integrity. This journey has reinforced my ability to put theories into practice effectively, turning ideas into tangible architectural outcomes.
TGC 4.1 Communicate appropriately in various settings and modes
Presenting my designs to peers, tutors, and architects has taught me to adapt my communication style to different audiences. By combining clear visuals, precise drawings, and structured verbal explanations, I’ve learned to effectively convey my ideas. This experience has enhanced my confidence and ability to communicate appropriately in various settings and modes.
