Project 1B
Chronicle & Manuscript:
< the Place and the Space > - Group ( 20% )
Task A: Site Chronicle
Create a two-page A4 spread site chronicle in CANVA, incorporating illustrations, drawings, and annotated photos based on the assigned measures. Each group conducts specific tasks, including research, fieldwork, site mapping, environmental analysis, survey drawings, model-making, and documentation. The chronicle integrates findings from all groups to support the design process.

Task B:
A Formal & Spatial Manuscript
< Synchronisation & Calibration >
We are required to create a Formal & Spatial Manuscript, consisting of one A2 portrait boards. We must analyze the site through a "Visceral Board", using visuals from the Site Chronicle. We are also to incorporate insights from the Poetic Assemblage and other study materials, using mixed media for composition.
Reflection
TGC 1.1 Able to put theories into practice

In my design process, applying theory to real-world scenarios helped me consider key elements like spatial typologies, section-plan relationships, and human scale. By focusing on natural light, materiality, and context, I was able to create a design that both functions well and connects with its environment, showing how theory can guide practical design decisions.
TGC 2.2 Locate, extract, synthesize and utilize information effectively

In this task, I learned the importance of thoroughly documenting and analyzing the physical conditions of the site, as well as understanding the 'genius loci' or spirit of the place. By extracting relevant data—such as environmental factors, local history, and cultural context—I was able to synthesize this information to form a design that reflects the unique character of the site. This process helped me realize that design is not just about aesthetics; it's about responding to the site’s conditions and context. Being able to locate, extract, and utilize information effectively allowed me to create a design that truly connects with its surroundings.
