ARCHITEC-
TURAL
DESIGN
III
ABOUT THIS MODULE
The 'Architectural Design III' module focuses on experiencing space and place in architecture, introducing students to spatial typologies, poetics, and community-focused design. It begins with designing simple dwelling spaces using various spatial typologies and tectonic exploration. The major project involves creating a small-scale community building, like a gallery or library, in a suburban context, responding to the site's topography, history, and culture. Emphasis is placed on integrating plans and sections to create expressive, functional, and site-responsive architectural forms while considering societal and cultural values.
