Comparative Case Studies Poster & Booklet - Group ( 40% )
We are required to work in groups of five to select two case studies (3–5 storeys) showcasing passive sustainable design—one from a tropical climate and one from another climate type. We will compare their strategies in site planning, daylighting, facade design, natural ventilation, and landscaping; analyse their impact on spatial quality; and present our findings through an A0 infographic poster, a 20–25 page A4 landscape booklet, and a 5-minute pre-recorded presentation.

TGC 2.2 Locate, extract, synthesize and utilize information effectively

In this project, I developed my ability to locate, extract, synthesize, and utilize information effectively by researching the theories and principles of passive green building design strategies. I gathered knowledge from various sources, identified the most relevant ideas, and connected them into a clear understanding. This allowed me to apply these principles thoughtfully in my design, ensuring my solutions were both sustainable and contextually appropriate.
TGC 3.1 Think critically and creatively

Through this project, I learned to think critically and creatively by examining how different cases applied their chosen strategies. I analysed the strengths and weaknesses of each approach, compared their effectiveness, and considered how certain ideas could be adapted or improved. This process challenged me to look beyond surface solutions, question assumptions, and generate innovative ways to apply these strategies in my own design work.
