Yeo Xu Wen

Hey!!

I’m Yeo Xu Wen, you can call me Eaven. I’m born and brought up in Johor. It’s not a big place, but it somehow exists on the map. I’m 19 this year, currently taking Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Architecture in Taylor’s University and I hope to someday work in the architecture field. I am a very outgoing person, and I love meeting new people. I also have a wide range of interests and I love engage in different types of hobbies.

Family

I belong to a very compassionate family whose members are very supportive and open minded. My family is a group of 4 including me, father, mother and my little sister. While my dad is the one who does work for a living, it is my mum who is the boss of the house. Family value and growing in such a caring surrounding helps me to pass all the struggles and hardships that I face in my daily life. My family is a blessing for me and I value everyone in my family with equal respect and love.

Hobby

When it comes to hobby, I have a strong inclination towards playing badminton. Playing badminton makes me feel strong and confident. Each stroke of the racket makes the typical “whoosh” sound that I love. Most of my free time is actually spent on playing badminton, at least once a week. This is how I get my energy back.

I’m also really passionate about karate. I was first introduced to karate in year 1 and I think it’s a great way to learn self-defence , respect, self-control and patience. I’m happy that I decided to start practising karate because it has given me so much: I’ve learned to respect people better than I did before and it has improved my physical and mental strength.

Favourite Singer

My favourite singer is Eric Chou. He was born in 1995 in Taiwan and is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter and actor. He has been dubbed by the Taiwanese media as ‘king of the lovelorn people’. His self-composed smash hit ‘The Distance of Love’, the ending theme of the 2014 Taiwanese drama ‘The Way We Were’, where he also made a cameo, reached 100 million views on YouTube, making him the youngest Mandopop artist to reach the feat at that time.

All in all, I am a dreamer. My dreams and aspirations drive my life and these aspirations are the

possibilities of my better and brighter futher.
