Project 3
Space and Sensory - Individual ( 60% )
This project requires us to re-examine our model from Project 1 and further develop it into a series of sensorial spaces.
After studying the role of elements and principles in design composition in Project 1, and the role of anthropometrics and ergonomics in the design of spaces in Project 2, we will now examine the role of the senses in the creation of architecture.
We will need to re-examine and re-interpret our model in Project 1, and develop it into a conceptual narrative, to create a poetic architectural representation and our own re-interpretation of our model through a series of spaces, with sensorial experiences, via chosen materials of timber, steel, concrete or glass.

Reflection
TGC 1.1 : Able to put theories into practice
I am able to put theories into practice by actively exploring and applying fundamental design principles and terminologies. This practical application involves translating theoretical knowledge into tangible design solutions, allowing me to bridge the gap between conceptual understanding and hands-on design work.
TGC 3.1 : Think critically and creatively
Secondly, I am able to think critically and creatively, navigating both objective and subjective parameters in the design process. This enables me to craft spaces that seamlessly blend practical functionality with a touch of poetic expression. The synthesis of these perspectives enriches my design approach, fostering solutions that resonate on both practical and aesthetic levels.
TGC 3.2 : Define and analyze problems to arrive at effective solutions
I am adept at defining and analyzing problems to arrive at effective solutions, particularly in the context of exploring how the selection and application of materials impact the sensory experience of a space. This skill involves a meticulous examination of materials, aligning them with the design goals to enhance the overall spatial experience.
