Sustainable System in a city (Focusing on Natural Disaster Mitigation) - Group ( 40% )
We are required to work in groups of five to analyze a city with a lower sustainability ranking, documenting its population, urban pattern, density, land use, and sustainability strategies in a visual journal. We then study a higher-ranking sustainable city to identify strategies that could improve our first city and document these findings. Finally, we appraise our city’s urban resilience across social, economic, and environmental aspects, propose recommendations inspired by the sustainable precedent, and present our results in narrated slides to tutors and via myTiMes.

TGC 1.1 Able to put theories into practice
In this module, I learned the importance of considering personal, economic, social, and environmental aspects when making sustainable decisions. By analyzing real cities and studying sustainable precedents, I was able to apply the theories we learned in class to practical situations. This process helped me see how sustainability is not just a concept but a set of interconnected choices that impact communities and the environment. Applying these theories in practice allowed me to make informed recommendations and understand the real-world consequences of design decisions.
